MICHAEL BOWEN

Michael Bowen is a senior writer for The Inlander and a respected local theater critic. Raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles and immensely overeducated (with degrees in English lit from Stanford, Harvard and UCLA), he is the two-time individual champion of the Spokane Is Spelling adult spelling bee yet doesn't know how to balance a checkbook. He competes in triathlons and would do extremely well in his age group if only he were an 88-year-old woman. He and his wife Dannie Loriano, a school psychologist, are the proud parents of Kylie, a sixth-grader who plays a mean trumpet and rides an awesome RipStik, often simultaneously.
